Definition of the Reward：

The “Reward” refers to the 7% discounted Commission Fee offer available to new sellers who complete the Growth Seller Mission.

Eligible sellers must claim this reward through the Growth - Growth opportunities - All missions page to activate the benefit.

The discounted rate will automatically apply within 24 hours after the seller’s first order is placed and remain valid for 45 consecutive days.

Before you start

Please prepare the following documents based on your seller type:

Individual Sellers

You must apply as an individual seller if you are not registered with the National Tax Agency (NTA) Japan. Sole proprietors are also classified as individual sellers.Identification (Choose one)

• Japanese Passport: Full image showing your photo, full legal name, date/place of birth, and expiration date.
• Japanese Driver’s License or Residence Card: Front and back images showing your photo, full legal name, date/place of birth, expiration date, and signature.

Proof of Address (any one of the following):

• Utility bill (gas, water, electricity, or phone)
• Residence Record
• Bank statement
• Credit card bill

Corporate Sellers

You must register as a corporate seller if you represent a business registered with the NTA.Shop Limit: Up to five (5) shops under one registration.

• Registration Certificate (登記事項証明書)
• Seal Registration Certificate (印鑑証明書)

• Japanese Passport: Full image showing photo, full legal name, date/place of birth, and expiration date.
• Japanese Driver’s License / Residence Card: Front and back images showing photo, full legal name, date/place of birth, expiration date, and signature.

• Utility bill (gas, water, or electricity)
• Residence Record
• Bank statement
• Credit card bill

Important Submission Requirements

• All documents must be valid and not expired.
• Information from each uploaded document must match what was manually entered.
• Uploads must meet requirements of having the full document visible, and must not be altered.
• Please ensure all uploads of documents are <5 MB in PDF, JPEG (JPG) or PNG format.File names should be a string of text or alphanumeric without any special characters (*, \, ?, ]), etc.

Registration Page

Firstly, you will need to sign up for an account. If you already have the account, you can directly login in seller-jp.tiktok.com.There are 2 ways to the sign-up page:

1. [For PC] - Navigate to the JP TikTok Shop Seller Center (seller-jp.tiktok.com) to register your account.

Important Tips:

• Please ensure the URL is for the Japan Market. You can double check it as below.

• Once you have signed up, the account will be verified as operated in the TikTok Shop Japan only.
  

Since the process is the same on both PC and mobile, the following steps will primarily be demonstrated on PC as guidance.

Ways to Sign Up for an Account

Option 1 - Register with Phone Number or Email

To ensure your account security, we need to verify your phone number or email address to make sure it is really you who created the account.

Option 2 - Register with your TikTok Account

Note: The same mobile number or email can be used only once for TikTok Shop account registration. If you wish to create another account, you will need to use different details.

Registration Process

Set Up Your Business Information

Tip: Individual can only set up 1 store, and Corporate can have max 5 stores. Read more.

Now you are just a few steps away from setting up your shop. Firstly, choose your business type.

For individuals, you need to prepare a Japanese Driver's license/Residence Card/Passport.

Tips:

1. Only the residence card with a working permit is accepted.
2. You will need to upload proof of address (utility bill/bank statement/Residence record) dated less than 3 months old if you upload passport.

For Corporate, you need to prepare a government-issued registration certificate/seal registration certificate and your Japanese Driving Licence/Residence Card/Passport.

Step 1 - Provide Business (if needed) and Primary Contact Person Details

Note:

• Every individual or corporate who wants to conduct business on TikTok Shop must have their company or personal information verified. We'll ensure that your information is protected.
• All information collected on this page is related to the actual operators of the shop. And the information is only used for moderation.

For Individual Sellers

❗Important: To comply with local laws, your Full Name and Business Address will be displayed on your product pages.

• If you haven't provided a Business Address, your Residential Address will be shown instead.

For Businesses

*Your company number is the unique number that appears on official registration documents for your business. This should also be the TIN (Taxpayer Identification Number) for your company. Make sure to provide this information exactly as it appears on your documentation – include any spaces, dashes, or special characters, unless instructed otherwise.

❗Important: To comply with local laws, your Company Representative's Name and Business Address will be displayed on your product pages.

Live Verification

If an individual seller applicant submits a Residence Card (在留カード) during the application process, only cards that state "No work restrictions" (就労制限なし) are currently accepted.

Residence Cards that state "Not permitted to work" (就労不可), "Permitted to work only under the status of residence" (在留資格に基づく就労活動のみ可), "Permitted to work only at institutions specified in the designation" (指定書記載機関での在留資格に基づく就労活動のみ可), or "Permitted to engage only in activities designated in the designation" (指定書により指定された就労活動のみ可) cannot be used as verification documents.

• If you are currently using a desktop without a camera, you can choose "Continue on Mobile" to complete the transaction on another mobile device.
• You can either enter your email address to receive the link or you can simply scan the QR code from your phone, which will take you to the phone browser screen to continue the journey.
  

Suggest using your mobile phone to finish the ID scanning.

Step 2 - Set up Shop Information

You need to finish the Set up Shop mission before you list the product.

• Draft your shop name for TikTok Shop.

Important Tips: If you are a seller with trademark or brand authorized certificate(s), your shop name may be rejected. See What is a [Flagship/Official Seller] or [Authorized Seller]? After completing the registration, you need to submit the required brand authorization documents in My Account > Account Settings > Qualification Center > Brand Qualification before modifying your shop name in seller center. See Brand Qualification guidance.

• Enter the Shop representative name.
• Enter the Customer Service Contact Number.
• Secure your account with the correct contact information.

• Confirm your information before submission
