From June 23th, 2026, TikTok Shop introduces TikTok あと払い, allowing customers to shop on TikTok Shop now and pay for all their purchases together in the following month.
By continuing to sell on TTS JP after the effective date, sellers acknowledge and agree that the following TikTok Atobarai Terms of Service shall apply to each sale paid by customers via TikTok Atobarai:

What is TikTok あと払い (Atobarai)?

TikTok あと払い is a deferred payment method that allows customers of TikTok Shop to shop first and pay later. With TikTok あと払い, customers can complete their purchases without immediate payment — all purchases made within the month are consolidated into a single bill, which can be conveniently paid the following month. This allows customers to enjoy their purchases right away, without worrying about payment at checkout.

Who Can Use TikTok あと払い (Atobarai)?

TikTok Shop customers with valid identification can apply for TikTok あと払い. Information that customers provide in their application, such as their name, date of birth, and contact details, is used in the screening process to determine their availability for TikTok あと払い. The eligibility is set based on the results of this assessment, as well as the customer's usage and payment history, and may be reviewed and adjusted over time.

How Sellers Receive Settlements when Customers Check Out with Pay Later Service

Sellers receive the full amount of the order when customers check out with TikTok あと払い.
When customer orders have been marked completed, the seller will have the full amount settled to their Seller Account Balance as usual. Sellers may check their settlement by going to the TikTok Shop Seller Center > Finance > Transactions, and may visit this feature guide to learn more about settlements on TikTok Shop.

1. Where can sellers participate or register to offer customers the ability to pay with TikTok あと払い for their store?

TikTok あと払い is activated automatically for all sellers in Japan, starting June 23rd, 2026.
The payment method will be available to customers who:

• Have updated the TikTok app to the latest version.
• Have registered a TikTok あと払い account and have their account verified.

During this time, the feature is in a soft launch phase and is not yet available to all qualified customers yet.

2. Will sellers be paid in separate months if customers choose TikTok あと払い to pay for their orders ?

No. When customer orders have been marked completed, the seller will have the full amount settled to their Seller Account Balance, even if customers will pay their bill next month.

3. Is there any additional fee that sellers need to bear for the service of TikTok あと払い ?

No. There is no additional fee for sellers when customers pay with TikTok あと払い .

4. Why do some buyers not have the option to activate TikTok あと払い?

The option to activate TikTok あと払い is currently available only to eligible and selected users. If you don’t see it yet, please don’t worry — you may become eligible in future batches. We’re improving the service continuously. To increase your chances, just keep your account active and maintain good shopping habits.

5. When can buyers receive the product after payment?

Once their payment has been successfully processed, TikTok Shop Japan's platform will be notified and the seller will arrange for the delivery of their products. The specific time of delivery will vary according to the lead time of the logistics service. They can track the delivery progress on TikTok Shop Japan's platform.

6. How do buyers request a refund for a transaction made using TikTok あと払い? What happens if they cancel or request refund for an order before/after the bill is issued?

They can apply for a refund through the order menu on TikTok Shop Japan's platform. Once the refund application is approved by the seller or TikTok Shop Japan's platform, TikTok あと払い will immediately process their refund request, and the refunded amount will be reflected in their TikTok あと払い account.

7. Where can buyers view their TikTok あと払い statements?

They can view their transaction history by clicking 'All statements' on the TikTok あと払い homepage which is accessible via the TikTok Shop page.
They will be able to view their monthly statements by clicking the respective tabs.
They may select the month of their choice to view their TikTok あと払い bill usage and transaction details such as the bill amount, statement balance, and refund amount.
